What is Major Explorer for Advisors?

Major Explorer is a portal app designed to assist advisors in recommending courses that a student may enroll in to get a feel for what it will be like for the student to pursue that major. The app was developed in partnership with Academic Resource Center and the Portal Team.

 

How do I use Major Explorer?

Major Explorer for Advisors is available in the Advising Tools tab in TUportal.

1. Sign-in to TUportal.
2. Click on the Advising Tools tab.
3. In the Major Explorer channel, select the major from the dropdown list.
4. The information related to the major will display in the channel.

 

Do students have access to Major Explorer?

Students enrolled in the Division of Undergraduate Studies, typically students with Undeclared major, can access Major Explorer in the DUS tab in TUportal.
