Time or Enrollment Status

Time status (also referred to as enrollment status) is determined by the attempted credits registered for the term.  Courses with registration status as "audit" are excluded from the time status calculation.  Some graduate level courses, such as dissertation, may carry full-time status regardless of the credits registered.

Professional Schools

Students enrolled in Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, or Podiatric Medicine professional programs are considered full-time status regardless of the number of registered credits.

 

International Students

International students are required to maintain full-time enrollment status. International students should contact International Student and Scholar Services for concerns regarding visa status.

 

Veteran Education Benefits

The School Certifying Official reports a student's time status to the VA based on credits registered per enrollment period.  Enrollment period is defined as the length of time the courses takes place.  The time status reported to the VA may differ from overall time status for the term.  Students may contact the School Certifying Official via Tuportal:

  1. Log in to TUportal using your AccessNet username and password.
  2. Click on the Student tab.
  3. Navigate to the Registration channel.
  4. Click on Veteran Declaration (GIBenefits).
  5. Select Request Assistance.
